Nothing will happen until there is no contact who has fulfilled your trigger, for example has a tag: first_workflow. (check the example here)
If you add this tag to yourself, or to an other contact, your automation will send the first email immediately, than wait the days you set up and check the condition, resend the email or add a tag to your contact and so on.
